Last post of 2010

Here it is, New Year's Eve and ethicalcannibal and I are watching some  Wild Wild West (tv series, not movie) and some Holmes Inspection. This weekend has been incredibly fun, if not exhausting.

Yesterday (the 30th) was incredibly busy. I had awoken from strange anxiety dreams. The wife and I headed down to her community college, so she could get her bus pass for the quarter (also so she could check out where her classes were without pressure of having to be on time). That went well, we got home a little late and got some food. Eventually we headed up to see my parents and check in on my mother. In addition we had planned on seeing ducened and talkswithwind for fondue. We got a call half way up. My mom called to warn they were drinking (we don't go over when they do that), we were late anyways so we just went to fondue. We had an awesome night fonduing with our friends. It was tasty (but I ate too many and got sick due to grease). We then went home and went to bed.

I woke up this morning, a bit better sleep and felt pretty good. We left the house and went in search of an exercise bike. We talked and I will be getting an iPad, but I am going to probably wait until the newer version comes out in a few months. So we decided to use the cash we had saved up to get an exercise bike, that way gym is purely for weight training, not cardio. We found an awesome bike (a NordicTrack GX4.0). Its a pretty nice bike and was on sale. We got back to the house (without a dolly we thought we had, so it was a pain to get into the apartment) and ethicalcannibal put it together. Then the mail came and the wife's financial aid showed up. We plopped that into savings (yay) and got her slippers (and myself), leggings and some socks. She is now sitting happily beside me with her new slippers.

We are going to watch our shows until midnight, then crawl in the bed. I have no plans for parties this year. Last year at this time we had the older nephew and niece over and went and saw Avatar. For some reason the new year seems to just be arbitrary and doesn't have a lot of personal meaning (not like a birthday of a friend, or my wedding anniversary).

I also just want to say HAPPY NEW YEAR's to all my friends!!! Maybe someday I will get to go visit my friends in strange and exotic locations!!!


edit.... I  just realized it isn't even the weekend yet (I have been off since last Thursday), so I  guess I  still have a full weekend coming up... YAY!!!
