Just a recap
Apr. 24th, 2009 10:25 amWell it's Friday and I have taken the day off to hang out with the wife. We dropped off the laptop yesterday and the technician mumbled something about 10 other repairs ahead of me. I am assuming this means it will freeze in hell before I see my laptop again. At least as of now, the repairs are supposed to be for free, and I can wait a little bit for that. The only frustrating part is that I can't work on websites or games until I get a spiral notebook. My laptop is what has everything on it. I could use this mac mini I am currently using it, but when I try typing for long periods of time I get a headache.

imake1tgirl wants to go to St. Vincent's and Goodwill to get her some new shirts. I will probably pick up some underwear and socks while we are at (not from a used store). Other then that our only projects for the house are new curtain arrangement for the living room. We both hate the vertical venetian blinds, and the cat loves to knock some of the individual blinds down, so its time to get something new.
We are on our "down" week for Burning Twilight. Last week went very well, there was a lot of bonding with the group, a lot of working together (whether or not it was for the best, that depended on the subgroups). There wasn't nearly as much screaming as I had thought there would be. We spent a large chunk of the early part of the game just with the group roleplaying with each other. That was great, I get a feeling if I have days that I am not prepared with a scenario I can just toss them a small thing and they will make the whole game session about it. I do have some screaming planned for them however, no getting out of the madhouse yet :).
This weekend will comprise of me running PH for the two remaining players, and going to fighter practice for the first time at the SCA on Sunday. True we don't have any equipment, this Sunday will comprise of me watching the fighters to determine if I want to do this, and if I do, do I want heavy fighting or rapier or both. I will also be able to determine the cost to get involved in either part of these. If its too much to begin with, I will just watch and work on a bit of garb until I can come up with the cash. Maybe I will get back into doing a bit of website design on the side. I am no longer working tax hours and I can do that, or maybe even some tax work (at least maybe next year) to get a little extra spending money for costuming/armor.
Other then that, life is great. I love my wife more then anything and really couldn't be much happier. Maybe with no computer I will start sketching more, I could definitely use some practice.
