Awake early and recap

I have been awake since 3:30am. I ended up laying in bed until 4:30 with everything spinning in my head. Worry for [livejournal.com profile] ethicalcannibal with her new school schedule, worry for work with the CAFR deadline, worry for parents (as is normal), and just overall worry about the financial condition we are in. The most frustrating part is I had hoped by giving up coffee for the last 7+ months that the anxiety would abate and my sleep habits would normalize, but it seems my normal sleeping habits are 5-6 hours no matter how much caffeine I ingest. I have seriously considered going back to coffee, its offered at most worksites, it does boost me in the morning a bit better, etc.

Today is going to be a long day. We will be leaving here about 8am to go up and see my parents. Take my dad to take the written driver's test then take him to a doctors appointment. We will then drop them off and head over to visit with [livejournal.com profile] ashcake and [livejournal.com profile] talkswithwind. Once that is done we will visit with [livejournal.com profile] godling. Then we should be wrapped up by afternoon. This evening we will then go down to [livejournal.com profile] dudeling to go to a birthday party being thrown for him.

We don't have a game this Sunday, unfortunately some of our group isn't able to make it so we will recommence on 3/14. True it gives me time to prepare more for dying light, and it also gives me more prep time for the game and it gives me one last weekend before I lose the whole weekend to LARPing. I just wish to get back in the rhythm of the campaign. Although this does mean I get to hang with the wife all weekend (well at least after today), that is a cool cool thing.

One thing I've learned, there's always something to stress over. I try to not to worry too much, figure out plan b (and c) and leave it alone. Distractions help too.

I was up at 3:30 for very similar reasons. I feel your pain. *reaching for more caffeine*

That's the worst... Can't sleep because you're worried, then the worries get worse due to lack of sleep (or at least for me they do).

I must've missed something, mate - at what point on your travels this weekend will you be dropping into our place? Just want to be sure we've got the food ready... ;)

If the teleporter works right, I am thinking our Saturday (your Sunday)

I had gotten into the habbit of drinking coffee all day long. My doctor had noticed a strange occurance with my blood pressure. If I can in early, my blood pressure was really good. If I came in later in the day, it was high. He eventually narrowed it down to the caffine intake. When I quit that, my pressure stabalized. Decaf has come a long way since I was little and I have learned to tolerte it decently. I don't really miss it, but sometimes avoiding caffine is a bit of a pain.

I am thinking of just doing decaf, that way I can still keep the habit, but not have the negative side effect. I have considered dropping caffeine all the way, I think that would be more beneficial then replacing it with tea.

I've got an old friend out in your neck of the woods who has started his own business, would it be an imposition to ask if you know a local guy there who you'd trust to do his taxes? He's in the Bellingham area.

Thanks about the icon. What kind of taxes does he need done (LLC, Partnership, etc). I might be able to direct him.

Sole proprietorship.

Unfortunately my friend Ryan moved out of Bellingham I guess, so I don't have any recommendations. Although I strongly recommend people avoid VSH though, I interviewed with them and I found I didn't like them at all, they didn't give me a good feeling.

Alright thanks for the heads up, I'll let him know. I appreciate it.

BTW while the sleep issues suck, I have to admit I love that icon.
