Weekend Great.... Last Night Sleep Sucked

The weekend was awesome. I got to spend Friday night and Saturday with [livejournal.com profile] ethicalcannibal . She ran my solo game, we talked and just hung together. Saturday evening [livejournal.com profile] finnegwyn came over (she just got back from her cruise in Mexico) and it was great to see her. We went to IHOP on Saturday night and ordered a fish sandwich. After hanging out the rest of the night, [livejournal.com profile] ethicalcannibal and I both went to bed, gaseous and sick to our stomach (freezer burnt fish).

Sunday everyone came over for Mechwarrior. They got into a bit of a tussle with one of the other training companies and they underwent their first mech simulations (stinver v stinger). In game and out of game everyone did well and learned a lot. I think everyone had fun. So we did that until 6pm or so, then went to IHOP and had a successful meal that did not make us sick.

I got home, hung out with the wife for a little while and then crawled in bed. I then had more of my bad dreams. I can't really remember what the dreams were now, but only got about 5 hours of sleep. DamnI hate this time of year. Last year went better, but thats because I would go to sleep tired since we were working out with weights and a lot more healthy. I am hoping I can go back to that pretty soon (well maybe not weight lifting of my lower body, but at least upper body).

Now I gotta get ready for work.

MechWarrior was interesting. I had BattleTech dreams last night, but then I did that back in High School too. But as you say, we don't want that hex-grid to take over the game.

Great Big Sea was rocking last night.

Ya, the only real difference from our normal mechwarrior games is we had to cut it short after the fight. Normally there are a couple of hours (or more depending, we have had sessions last until 1am when we played before of pure roleplay after the game ended at 6-7pm).

Normally there is the after fighting getting in trouble rolepay, we just couldn't do anything with everyone having to leave :)

Yes, with stated mission goals, and pre-planning. It will be fun, and a good learning experience for all.
